Wells Fargo and Richwood Bank have joined the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation’s Prime Partners, a group of financial institutions committed to improving access to justice for Ohioans struggling to meet ends meet.
Prime Partners offer premium interest rates on Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) and Interest on Trust Accounts (IOTA) — required accounts for most attorneys and title agents — to generate additional dollars for Ohio’s legal aids.
In 2019, Prime Partners supported nearly 185,000 hours of legal help for low-income Ohioans.
“Our mission to inspire, protect and celebrate what makes our communities thrive includes equal justice under the law for everyone,” said Chad Hoffman, president and CEO of Richwood Bank. “Richwood Bank is a Prime Partner because we believe community banks should provide favorable rates that in turn fund legal aid services that protect all Ohioans, regardless of economic barriers. It’s our duty to Bank on Justice.”
