Columbus Municipal Court Judge Carrie Glaedon was honored by the Columbus Bar Association and Foundation on April 28th for her work in establishing a consumer clinic at the municipal court.
Judge Glaedon was presented the annual award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Judge. The consumer clinic was developed as part of her work on the Judicially Led Appellate District Pro Bono Project, on which OLAF collaborates with the Ohio State Bar Association. Judge Glaedon is a member of the Project’s 10th Appellate District committee, and devised the project to meet a need for legal information and advice on consumer debt, following a similar project developed by the 5th Appellate District committee and Community Legal Services in Akron.
Lawyers in the Office of Chief Legal and Governance Officer at Nationwide Insurance Company in Columbus were also honored with the award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Corporation for volunteering in the municipal court consumer clinic.
