The Legal Aid of Western Ohio, and Associates for Basic Legal Equality, civil legal aid organizations serving 32 counties in northwestern Ohio, have been chosen to receive the 2012 Nonprofit Excellence Award. The Award, given annually by the Toledo Foundation and The Blade, in partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Resources, recognizes a large nonprofit organization for outstanding achievement in the northwest Ohio community.
The award, to be presented at a breakfast on September 27, includes an unrestricted grant and production of a video featuring the work being recognized by the award.
