The Ohio Access to Justice Foundation Board of Directors will welcome new officers at its September meeting.

Paula Boggs Muething, chief legal and administrative officer, FC Cincinnati, assumes the role of president. Mary Amos Augsburger, executive director, Ohio State Bar Association, is vice president. Hon. Howard H. Harcha III, Scioto County Court of Common Pleas, becomes treasurer; and P. Kelly Tompkins, senior advisor, Dix & Eaton and leader-in-residence, CSU College of Law, is secretary. Jennifer Day, chief operating officer, Ohio Treasurer’s Office, assumes the position of immediate past president.

The Foundation also welcomes four new trustees – Hon. John Eklund, Anne Murray, Hon. Michele Reynolds, and Hon. Tom Roberts – and new committee chairs Judge Harcha (Budget Committee) and Chris Davey (Nominating Committee).

The new trustees are:

Hon. John Eklund, judge, 11th District Court of Appeals. Prior to his appointment and subsequent election to the Court of Appeals, Judge Eklund was in private practice for nearly 42 years with the Cleveland law firm Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP. For ten years, he served as a state senator for Ohio’s Senate District 18.

Anne Murray, policy counsel on domestic violence, Supreme Court of Ohio. At the Supreme Court, Murray provides outreach and manages grant funds related to domestic violence. Previously, Murray was a domestic violence prosecutor for over 20 years and director of the Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit for the Columbus City Attorney’s Office.

Hon. Michele Reynolds, Ohio state senator, representing Ohio’s Senate District 3. A third-generation business owner and non-profit CEO, Sen. Reynolds has an extensive background representing the community, including serving on the Madison Township Board of Trustees. She is the recipient of multiple awards for her outreach work and humanitarian efforts.

Hon. Tom Roberts, president, Ohio State Conference NAACP. A long-serving and dedicated leader to the NAACP, Roberts represented the people of the Miami Valley for over 20 years in the Ohio House and Ohio Senate. He currently also serves as an advisor to the Sinclair Ohio Fellows Program at Sinclair Community College.
