Our nation promises justice for all, not just for those who can afford it. Legal aid levels the playing field and helps ensure fairness in Ohio’s justice system. It provides access to legal help for people to protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families.

The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation’s 2017 annual report tells the story of exceptional civil legal aid work that is improving access to justice for Ohioans.

In 2017, Ohio’s legal aids helped:
• 4,977 veterans
• 16,442 seniors
• 14,012 Ohioans with disabilities

In total, 115,958 Ohioans achieved justice because of legal aid.
